- Does Perivanta replace my ASC scheduling system?
- No. Perivanta is an optimization layer that works above your existing scheduling system or ASC management software. Bookings stay in your system of record; Perivanta reads that data and recommends how to use your OR time better.
- What’s the difference between OR utilization and block utilization?
- OR utilization measures how much of your available staffed OR time is filled with cases. Block utilization measures how well each surgeon uses the specific time reserved for them. A center can have high block allocation and still poor OR utilization if blocks go unused — which is why Perivanta tracks both.
- How does case-duration forecasting work?
- Perivanta builds duration estimates from your center’s own historical cases — the same procedure, the same surgeon, similar patient and timing context — rather than generic averages or manually padded defaults. Estimates improve as more of your history is analyzed.
- We run a two-OR single-specialty center. Is this overkill?
- Small centers are exactly who we’re building for — 55% of U.S. ASCs run one or two ORs. At that scale a single unfilled afternoon each week is a meaningful share of annual capacity, and there’s rarely a dedicated analyst to find it. That’s the job Perivanta takes on.
